I just cut up some cucumbers for Ethan and Emily and asked Kaedra if she wanted one. She said "no" at first but then changed her mind and said "YES!" YAY! She hasn't put them in her mouth yet, but at least she said yes. We are at least back to that now.
This is like a dance. Two steps forward, three steps back. But it's okay. I like to dance. :-)

at another standstill?
Okay, she has not been receptive for the last few days. Still freaked by the broccoli? I don't know. She is drinking her water but won't even have a piece of cucumber! Taking it easy right now. Offering, but not pushing.

Day three
Breakfast:
She had her tube food and once again asked for "no broccoli." The family had pancakes. She had a pancake and tore it into pieces. She also put it in her mouth.

The rest of day two
Lunchtime:
Kaedra sat with us and ate lunch. She said she didn't want any more broccoli in her tube. :-) She did take one of Emily's fishsticks and kissed it. (crumbs!) She was tired and grumpy, so that's all we did.
Dinner:
The littles and I had McDonalds and took it to a lake. I got her a happy meal of her own. She kissed and licked the chicken tenders and fries. She decided the fries were "too salty." She also had a water with a straw. She really was more interested in the toy.

Day Two: Breakfast
Kaedra wanted to help me make breakfast. The family was having sauteed broccoli and garlic scrambled into eggs. Kaedra helped me by breaking all the eggs into a bowl and whisking them for me. After breakfast was ready, she had a plate with bacon, eggs and broccoli and toast. She grated some cheese very finely over her eggs. We played with trying to pick up the cheese. She broke her bacon into pieces and chose the broccoli as her main food. She kissed the broccoli, touched the broccoli and, after my suggestion, wanted the broccoli to be blended into her formula. She took four "trees" and put them in the Vitamix with a bit of her formula and we fed it to her through her tube.
Afterwards, she was a bit freaked about the broccoli going in her tube. She didn't want to talk about it but said her tummy didn't like it.
(After reading her this post, she says that she was just scared, her tummy was fine. She also said she wanted to try it again)

Day One-ish
Just got home from the Conference tonight and Kaedra wants to start right away. Here's what we did:
Steps
1. 7 bowls, 6 with water
2. Flavored 5 of them: salt, lemon, vanilla, peppermint, and sugar
3. sniffed, Kissed then licked the cucumber (whole family involved) wanted more flavor in the salt so we added garlic salt
4. Added colors
5. Kissed and licked the cucumbers
6. Held her favorites in her mouth (faves: water, lemon and vanilla)
7. Took pictures
8. Mixed flavors (her fave sugar and lemon)
Woohoo! Had to promise her to do more tomorrow!!! Lol!
